Independent Golf Photographer in Northern Virginia
I became interested in golf and photography in my early 20s. Both became creative outlets, and I enjoyed how each provided me with unique challenges. Both teach you to be your best, live in the moment, think positively, and never quit. More importantly, like anything else, you can only improve if you continually practice and learn.
When I started in photography, I used a film camera and learned to process film and make prints in the darkroom. Watching my images develop captivated me. Today, I feel that same instant gratification when I see my portrait appear on the back of my camera. Knowing that I have accurately captured an image is critical; however, it's only once I've meticulously edited it in Photoshop and printed it on the highest quality medium that it actually comes to life. When I deliver portraits to my client and see them displayed in their home or office, I'm delighted knowing that generations will enjoy them for many years.
Golf mimics life; there are peaks and valleys, and a round of golf provides the same experience over 18 holes. How can such a simple game be so frustrating yet, at the same time, be so fun and rewarding? I've worked hard on my game; unfortunately, I haven't mastered it as quickly as photography! I love the challenge of golf, the beauty of each course, and the camaraderie, as I've made many lifelong friends while playing the game.
I would love to create your custom golf portrait, so let's work together to make it happen!
